Youth Choir Friday Devotion: “Enough”

This devotion is one of a series of devotions written for Youth Choir Tour 2008.  This is today’s devotion.

“Enough” by Chris Tomlin

All of You is more than enough for all of me
For every thirst and every need
You satisfy me with Your love
And all I have in You is more than enough

You are my supply
My breath of life
And still more awesome than I know
You’re the coming King
You are everything
And still more awesome than I know

You’re my sacrifice
Of greatest price
And still more awesome than I know
You’re the coming King
You are everything
And still more awesome than I know

More than all I want
More than all I need
You are more than enough for me
More than all I know
More than all I can say
You are more than enough for me

Think of all the things you want and already have in your life. All the material things.  All the things you over-packed in that very large suitcase. Do you need it all?  At this point of the trip if you were to evaluate all the things you packed, what would be on the list of things you could have left at home? Come on… there has to be something.

Now a different question… Is there anything you forgot? What is that one thing that you really meant to grab on your way out the door but forgot in all the excitement? Is it something that can be replaced in a trip to Wal-Mart?

I hope no one left anything behind but the truth is that in all the excitement of getting ready for a trip with close friends like Choir Tour there is one thing that is easily left behind.  Luckily it is not something that goes in your suitcase.

Besides forming relationships and memories, the purpose of choir tour is to share the love and magic of Christ with others.  Did you forget to pack your Christ-like heart or your willingness to serve? As choir tour comes to a close it is not late to unpack your faith and give it all to God.  With every song we sing and every person we come in contact with, what can you do or say to show them that Christ is more than enough for you and your life? How can you encourage them to realize God is all they need in their lives as well?
